Automation includes the use of mechanized robots and artificial intelligent software programs to perform task previously done by human. As technology evolves many professionals risks seeing their jobs taken away from them not by other humans but by robots. Think about it; who can compete with a robot? Below are some of the jobs that machines might do better and faster than human beings. So before investing into learning a particular skill, it is important to find out valuable that skill will be in a future with fast technological advancements.
Cashiers are gradually disappearing from our day to day lives thanks to ATMs and self checkout kiosks. Today, we only need a cashier when we are creating our accounts at the bank. After that, we can spend a world year without any need for the services of a cashier.
Though there will always be drivers of some sort, the development of automated self putting the profession of drivers in a precarious state. Who will pay for a driver when cars can drive themselves. The worst thing is the fact that this is not only about personal cars because public transport vehicles are also involved. However, in my opinion, drivers in most African cities should have nothing to fear as these automated cars need highly organized cities to function.
The future of the profession of manufacturing workers is far from bright. Unfortunately, many factories around the world are replacing thousands of factory workers with robots. The bad news is that, a single robot can usurp the position of at least three workers.
